BB-39

Important as it is to remember the attack and the men who lost their lives.

I would also like to remember the splendid ship the Arizona was.

  1. Yes indeed. I've stood above her and watched those oil bubbles (tears) rise to the surface, thinking, those poor souls are still trapped inside.

  2. I've stood there myself my friend. It is a hallowed space.

  3. I've always had a soft spot for her, even though Canada isn't really connected with Pearl Harbour. Such a beautiful ship and it makes me glad (well not the right word but I can't think of a good one) that they choose to keep her as a memorial.

  4. Pimpley- I'll confess to having a soft spot for the old battle-wagons. If you want some good historical reading Massey's "Dreadnought" and "Castles of Steel" are worth the time.
