That had some potential for being very bad.
Yeah at least it held together until the chamber pressure had dropped a bit.

A marine friend swears he had this happen to someone down the pistol firing line from him with a M9 that was very worn.
Ouch...he's lucky it didn't smack an eye.
Yeah it seemed to flip up.

Now he knows what the left over piece was for. I agree with Ouch.
