An armed populace doesn't prevent tyranny but it does raise the marginal costs of imposing one past the ability of most would be tyrants.

    1. The sad truth is that many people make the choice that they would rather be ruled. That doesn't make the ruling right, just not contested.

  2. When Alberta went ndp last year i had a conversation with an idiot who said he was fine with them killing jobs because he could slways go on EI or welfare.
