The world stopped getting warmer almost 16 years ago, according to new data released last week.
The figures, which have triggered debate among climate scientists, reveal that from the beginning of 1997 until August 2012, there was no discernible rise in aggregate global temperatures.
This means that the ‘plateau’ or ‘pause’ in global warming has now lasted for about the same time as the previous period when temperatures rose, 1980 to 1996. Before that, temperatures had been stable or declining for about 40 years.
On the micro scale, this has been by far the coolest and wettest Late Spring in the SW part of the Showme state. Sorry for the repeat use of sarcasm quotes two nights in a row, but both seem to have earned it.

DeleteI started keeping track of the weather some time back. AOC claims the Earth has twelve years before "climate change" destroys it. In the time I've been tracking the highs, lows, etc, the weather/climate haven't changed one iota. In fact, our weather pattern has gone back from one of severe drought to one of normal rainfall. Of course, the Bernie babies wail that the rain we had last winter was "excessive," and born of "climate change." Too bad they weren't even around to see and know that the "excessive" rainfall we had last winter was normal rainfall, and that the drought twas the anomaly!
