But you gotta give credit where credit is due.
When I read Animal farm, and 1984, I thought that since it was required reading in most of the public schools nationwide, that the message would be a good reason to believe that the population would take heed, and this sort of thing would never happen. I was very naive in the early '70s'. I was very stupid in the late '70's, and didn't realize the way things were going. Even after getting kicked out of Social Studies for accusing the teacher of promoting Socialism, when I was in 8th grade,in 1972. Yeah, I know I just dated myself. Oh well.

DeleteI knew that this was the story when Paris Hilton got arrested in Los Vegas about ten years ago, with a 9MM hand gun. 1 KILO of pure heroin and just shy of 500000 in a bag at the LV airport. Her arrest wasn't what got me so much as the court hearing the next day when the judge gave her the money and the pistol back and apologized for her inconvenience. The Dope had vanished from the LMPD lock up the night before. Like G. A bill to allow a secret federal court, armed with secret evidence, in a secret hearing to issue a secret order to use Federal Agents or the federal military to confiscate civilian arms. In secret. You get no lawyer. No hearing, and very likely no appeal. Mass Asset forfeiture of firearms. The "good" news? The republican party is behind (they wrote it) this, and Trump "Wholeheartedly supports gun confiscation" (his words).
