Well we have a "SUPER-CON" coming to Louisville this fall. It will have all the usual things. EXCEPT. Weapons. They have announced a ridged "ZERO TOLERANCE" for any and all "weapons" To include: Airsoft. BB guns. or "any other object of right wing violence" I won't be attending, But I might take legal action as; This is Kentucky. Not California. They CANNOT "ban" firearms in this commonwealth.---Ray
My point was and is that the group putting on this event in Kentucky has no legal right or authority to "ban" anything. The owners of the building can. But they had two gun shows there this year. So that's not even a consideration. Further. The "security" at the event CANNOT "stop and frisk" ANYONE EVER. Everything they have posted as "banned at GalaxyCon".(please read the web sight) Is illegal for them to ban in Kentucky. They cannot impose laws that are expressly forbidden under the KRS. They are NOT getting away with this in my state. They have no authority to impose out of state anti-weapons laws on me. PERIOD. They can publicly change the "rule". Or take it to Ohio.--Ray

ReplyDeleteYet there will probably be a panel celebrating Marion Zimmer Bradley.
DeleteBit more modest group than usual. No complaint, just sayin'.
ReplyDeletePS Nice Archer group, but how can you have Trexler, but not Ray?
The convention isn't wheelchair accessible. :)

ReplyDeleteThis type of crap will continue until liability laws start holding people at fault for disarming victims.
