The reason knights shaved the sides and back of their heads is because long hair gets tangled in the rings on chainmail. She's a cutie but I'll bet she had a bitch of a time getting that mailshirt off without resorting to a razor. Also unless that armor is made of Titanium or AL. it gross is about 50Lb. ---Ray
Yeh, that pattern is Roman I think. I never liked training in "open" (Vs. "closed") mail. It always felt like it wanted to slide off and the ties kept coming undone. AND: JFM is 100% right. With the padding on under the mail (or any other armor) you are soaked in two min..If the temp is above 40f it is like a sauna with the padding and Helm on.
