Alliance repressing Browncoats in Wisconcin

University of Wisconsin-Stout theater professor James Miller has become a firecracker in a debate over free speech after he posted a controversial poster in front of his office door on September 12.

Ah academia where a poster from a show about the repression of freedom brings a repression of freedom.

You cant take the sky from me.

Time to change the Party's Name.

"Democrat" Govenor of North Carolina "joked" about suspending elections to "focus on fixing things". She's not alone among the "democrat" party Peter Orzag former Obama administration as director of the Office of Management and Budget twists the words of John Adams saying that democracies commit suicide to justify a call for a permanate administrative class to implement "To solve the serious problems facing our country"  he conviently forgets that this is why the founders made us a republic rather than a democracy.

A friend of my wife's who is an unabashed democrat sincerely feared George W Bush would declare marshal law and not permit a peaceful transition of power, it is said people project on others what they fear in themselves.

The ATF is a blackmarket arms dealer

Apparently the Obama administration wasn't just allowing drug cartels to purchase guns in "Operation Fast and Furious" we were using taxpayer money to buy guns to sell illegally. Because you know in the Obama economy even the drug cartels need government money to buy weapons.

So just to be clear: The United States government borrowed money in our children's and grandchildren's names to buy firearms which were then illegally sold to a hyper-violent drug cartel.

This was not a "buy-bust" or a sting operation, where police sell to a buyer and then arrest them immediately afterward. In this case, agents were "ordered" to let the sale go through and follow the weapons to a stash house....
....According to a story posted Sunday on a website dedicated to covering Fast and Furious, Voth gave Dodson the assignment to "dirty him up," since Dodson had become the most vocal critic of the operation.
"I think Dodson demanded the letter from Voth to cover both himself and the FFL (Federal Firearm Licensee). He didn't want to be hung out to dry by Voth," a source told the website "Sipsey Street Irregulars."
Subsequent to this undercover operation, sources told Sipsey, "Dodson just about came apart all over them (his supervisors). In a 'screaming match' that was heard throughout the Phoenix office by many employees, Dodson yelled at Voth and Assistant Special Agent in Charge George Gillett, 'Why not just go direct and empty out the (ATF) arms room?" (to the cartels), or words to that effect.'

Words fail me.

Worth Thinking Upon

"Most civilization is based on cowardice. It's so easy to civilize by teaching cowardice. You water down the standards which would lead to bravery. You restrain the will. You regulate the appetites. You fence in the horizons. You make a law for every movement. You deny the existence of chaos. You teach even the children to breathe slowly. You tame.

Common sense sighted in Chicago!

State representative La Shawn Ford has started to advocate for concealed carry rights in the last true bastion of gun control Chicago.

“They’re saying we’re making criminals out of law-abiding citizens. They’re saying you’re only siding with the criminals because the criminals could care less about the law.”

The ironic thing is that minority neighborhoods that are most likely to have some form of extra-constitutional restriction on the 2nd amendment are where you find higher rates of gun crime.  How am I the racist for saying that people who live in the South side of Chicago are responsible enough to live under the same firearms laws as people in the wilds of Alaska? Who is served by having law abiding minorities disarmed, and dependent on the non-existent protection of the police? And what other policies have these people been pushing since the "Great Society" and how has it affected the inner city?

Watch that first step off of the plantation Mr. Ford it's a dozy, but it's worth it.

Gunwalkin

Every time I think that we've beaten all of the crap candy out of the Gunwalker pinata something new falls out. It now comes out that the BATFE was allowing grenades and IEDs to "walk". Now it seems that felons were allowed to purchase guns in Indiana. And that someone in the Whitehouse was not only was in on this operation but was doing things in Latin-America that makes Iran-Contra look mild.

Though all of this we are asked to believe that these bureaucrats were willing neigh overenthusiastic to do something like this without getting their superiors support all the way up to the oval office.

I'm from the Federal Government and I'm here to make sure YOU DON'T HELP!

Feds to assume control of Bastrop Co. fire; volunteer firemen turned away

Firefighting-trained volunteers from around the state converged on Bastrop and Smithville Tuesday to lend a hand to the beleaguered local firefighters battling the Bastrop County Complex Fire — only to be sent away as federal officials arrived at the scene and took command, apparently because local officials never made a formal request for volunteers.
When FEMA finally got to where I live(hint we had some twisty wind back in May), they actually started bitching because everyone told them "I've got this in hand, go check on someone else."  You see we weren't being good victims with "Where my halp?" signs on our roofs. We had people showing up to help evacuate the local hospital while the storm was still chewing up the other half of the town. We had already checked on our neighbor and every church that still had a roof was opening up as a shelter. Relief was being coordinated by the local talk radio station and insurance agents were literally writing checks on the spot for people to start getting their lives back together.

The federal bureaucrats  couldn't let this picture stand since people might start to question just how much we really needed them. So soon came the mandate that the city only had a couple of months to clear wreckage that Curtis LeMay could only have wished he could do to Germany or face strings attached penalties on removal. So the city had to halt new construction permits to keep the streets clear for removal trucks.

I fear that what is now happening in Texas is mandarin bureaucrat demanding that everyone kiss his ring before anything is allowed done combined with the fact that the general mindset of Texas isn't friendly to big government in general and the current administration in particular. And as the president said "punish our enemies."

Cult of Tacticool

I belive that Tactical this, that, and everything has gone a bit too far. While other people have mocked it in the past I feel that I should be a part of this. So I present in all of it's horror: Tactical Seat Covers

One for any outfit.

Gunsmith my.......

Two WV deputies were working on a Glock at one of their homes that supposedly doubled as a "gunsmith workshop" when the weapon discharged and managed to hit both of them. Now that I'm getting a few readers that are certainly into the armorer category if not give me the blueprint/broken part and I'll give you something that goes bang safely gunsmith category, I must ask. Just how badly has the has the media insulted you by anointing these chuckle-heads "gunsmiths"? I suppose there could have been some hideous jamb that left a live round in the chamber and required disassembly  in that state. In the name of their patron saint Gaston Glock exactly what required covering your hand with the barrel while pointing it at your buddy's leg to clear?

My own theory leans to their patron saint being Augustus Busch and after their communion they decided to clean their gun for the first time in years. Even though I don't drink this is one reason that I dislike firearms you have to pull the trigger to disassemble.

Remember kids law enforcement officials are the only people professional enough to handle a GlockBANG........

Tab Clearing MRSI

Duke has a better term for tab clearing than I do.

The Black Panthers put together a "Self Defense Video", given that I saw them break EVERY SINGLE GUN SAFETY RULE in the first 30 seconds we might not actually have to worry about too many of these morons.

In the .gov damned if you do and .gov damned if you don't, the DOJ is suing a trucking company for firing an alcoholic truck driver as if there wouldn't have been a lawsuit if the guy got liquored up and drove a truck full of hazmat into a school-bus.

A Polish Holocaust memorial marking the site where Jews were buried alive was vandalized, spray painted with the slogan: "We aren't sorry, and they were flammable." It seems that the traditional European pastime of Jew-hating is coming back above the surface.

The BATFE has been hiding evidence of murders committed with Gunwalker guns. I'm not sure what else can be said about just how despicable this whole episode is.

Illustrating the problems with SWAT proliferation and the cult of Tacticool, Steven Segal drives a SWAT armored vehicle into someone's living room and kills a puppy. Ironically besides narcotics the warrant for these people listed animal cruelty.

Lastly a German City has installed meters for prostitutes to pay their taxes. Brings new meaning to the terms meter maids, feeding the meter, and random acts of kindness.

My .22lr

In response to Stephen's challenge to write about our favorite 22lr I'd like to write about my second favorite handgun. When I really got into shooting but not reloading I needed to get a 22 to not bankrupt myself. Looking at the local pawnshop I found a Western style 22 revolver for about $150 I knew too little at the time to realize what I was picking up and although the pawnbroker is a very amiable fellow he doesn't have a very deep knowledge of firearms.

What I purchased was a High Standard Durango a swing out 9 shot pistol that I've loved since. A quick bit of research revealed to me that High Standard made it's name it target pistols and the accuracy of mine bears with it. The single action trigger merely requires you to think moderately hard about it to break and the thick barrel can shoot all day without seeming to overheat.
This one isn't mine.

Like many old and loved firearms it does have eccentricity. Mainly that one of the notches will not advance by merely cocking the hammer, you have to use your left thumb to help the cylinder rotate. Which is the only thing that stops this gun from being a wonderful gun to start new shooters on.

The accuracy from the big drift adjustable sight(the gun was pawned for being "inaccurate", such was fixed with three taps from a screwdriver butt onthe first range trip) better than it's shooter(me) can manage. Cleaning is easy due to a nice chrome lined bore and swing-out cylinder.

I don't know quite what else to write except that even I've been able to hit 75 yard targets with this gun, and that the western trim adds to the fun factor for me.
