One Law for the King's Men.....

With what little respect is due to this enforcers (supposedly of the law), what tiny shred of ethos you gain by not having your hair tough your ears is lost by this rampant hypocrisy. If a barber were doing this for anyone else you'd have "made a public example" of him on social media as you arrested and/or fined him for the audacity of earning an honest living.

Either this is so dangerous that you shouldn't be getting haircuts, or the rest of us should be able to.

  1. This virus and lockdown has been the authoritarian wet dream they have all yearned for!! All of this power is not going quietly into the night!! There are still too many people who believe that they are free and MUST be shown the way back under their boot. Too many yet to be arrested for challenging their superiority. This is now our new reality!!

    1. I can't think of any easy solutions here. Too many of what people think would be one ends in darker places than I'd prefer.

  2. Well, what the hell? No different than Chicago mayor Lightfoot getting her hair cut over this past weekend, rationalizing it by saying she is "the face of the city" - or something close to that. She could just wear a Jason mask.....

    1. Pretty sure Chicago is more accepting of horny teens than Jason was though. :)

    1. I also fear that this will open the door to the government thinking they can do pretty much anything they like, and take any freedoms from us they want to. For the good of us, of course. I looked up the rule, authorizing the State of Michigan going into the lockdown crap. It said that first, the head health official can quarantine any sick person deemed a public health danger, plus anyone they might have come in contact with. Then the kicker: It said that they can also do pretty much anything else they wanted to do. No shit, they wrote it almost like that. The exact words" Emergency procedures shall not be limited to this code."
I think that I might be the only one in our state that is bothered by this horrific bit of legislation. I almost feel like I am living in the former Soviet Union. And the powers that be can do whatever the hell they want to, with impunity.

    2. One other thing I fear Pigpen51 is the "Boy who cried WOLF" effect. If we have something with a death/disability rate like smallpox or scarlet fever come up, people are going to be less likely to take things seriously after this government overreach.
