Two Weeks as an Agent of (M&P) Shield

After toting this little thing around in my pocket for a couple of weeks I've got a few impressions to share.

  • Being able to tuck my shirt in without a gun-burka(tm: Tam) absolutely rocks.
  • I'm not sure how to compensate for it's tendancy to shoot to the left of my point of aim as my hands are way too big for the grips.
  • With the 7 round magazine inserted it works about as well for pocket carry as my 5 shot 38.
  • Strangely it seems to hold and release the smell of Hoppe's 9 for weeks after cleaning.
  • Dry fire practice alas also includes a lot of practice racking the slide.
  • I've only been polygraphed three times and water-boarded once to find out if I'm a HYDRA infiltrator.

  1. How do you like the trigger? the one I looked at (it was a .40) sucked.

    1. Difficult to gauge since I cut my teeth shooting DA/SA autos instead of the "cheating" DA many of the modern striker fired pistols are.

It's certainly better to stage than a revolver or the DA part of my Browning HP clone. I will say that my first shots of a given magazine seem to be the most accurate.
