MDR & John- While I've seen essays advocating tactical lever guns, I think this is a few steps too far.
I think people would be less offended if these were sold as accessories, for people who really needed a light on their varmint gun or the 6'6" husband who shares the gun with this 4'10" wife.
I guess I am the middle ground rarity guy. I can sorta see a niche for it I guess and since I am not a traditional Western period maven I am not offended by it.
In the end though I cannot see enough advantage to justify buying such a thing.
Some things are better left alone.

That's why I don't think ether the rails on the foreguard or the adjustable stock wouldn't be as "offensive". The flash hider on the 22lr though....
