 This has to be my nerdy response to the "Vote for Trump or You're Effectively Voting Hillary" people. Pirate's Cove has more.

It is a solemn and weighty responsibility, and not lightly to be flung aside at the bullying of pulpit, press, government, or the empty catchphrases of politicians. 

Each must for himself alone decide what is right and what is wrong, and which course is patriotic and which isn't. You cannot shirk this and be a man. 

To decide it against your convictions is to be an unqualified and inexcusable traitor, both to yourself and to your country, let men label you as they may. 

If you alone of all the nation shall decide one way, and that way be the right way according to your convictions of the right, you have your duty by yourself and by your country. Hold up your head. You have nothing to be ashamed of'." 

Cap continues, "Doesn't matter what the press says. Doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn't matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right.  

This nation was founded on one principle above all else: The requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences. When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree besides the river of truth, and tell the whole world--

So that's where I stand, Trumpary will have to move me because I'm not going anywhere.

So what the great business man is proposing is to borrow massive amounts of money, spend it all on "infrastructure" then when the Keynesian economics fail to work we turn the world's(including our) reserve currency into toilet paper. 

So you're a money manager in charge of buying government bonds, your job is to get the most profit for the least risk that you can. Do you pay more or less for a 10 year treasury just from these statements from a major political party's presumptive nominee? You're someone who has done the right thing and put 15% of your income back so that you can retire with dignity. Does this make you feel like you have done the wise thing? You've studied the history of hyper-inflation. Does this make you nervous?

Okay Finance 101 bonds are sold on the open market, that means the less confidence a person buying them has in being paid back the less money he is willing to spend upon them. Effectively this means you have to pay a higher effective interest rate. So when a presumptive Presidential nominee who maximized his own profits by paying vendors 80% on the dollar and telling them that it will cost them more than the 20% to sue him for the difference says something like this what do you think happens to the going price of US bonds.

We've been insanely fortunate that we've been merely walking wounded in the trauma ward of sovereign debt markets. Markets don't "cut deals"; markets buy and sell.
