Cake

The Bourbon royalty were amateurs compared to the Obamas at living it up while the country suffers. I just don't want to go through what happened after them.

It is difficult to find in the whole of human history bigger crocodile tear shedding hypocrites. Added to the sheer conceit of I made it but none of you could do the same. I know it is important to keep pointing these things out but my blood pressure is having a difficult time of it and I'm not sure it's up for even two more years.

Beware: Sirens

Wow

84 years old and a 5" group @ 1000 yards, I'd love to be half this good at half the range.

Beware: Sirens

Words fail me

The lows that politicians will sink to in order to smear one another. I'm not a survivor of childhood sexual abuse but I'm close enough to people who are that I can tell you that how each person chooses or is able to deal with the trauma that amounts to killing the person they originally were is different.

Just admitting that it happened(much less doing so publicly) is a huge step on that might have taken Senator Brown till very recently to come to. Naming or confronting the abuser is thornier than the communist <insert politically correct bullshit here>studies majors keeping a blog for the Daily Kos can understand.

No matter how public someone goes with the trauma of their past it is still their past to deal with. Someone with any real human empathy rather than the public robe of it Marxists wear could see many reasons for why Senator Brown has handled this the way he has. I'm not that nice a person so I don't feel the desire to enlighten them.

Beginning but how far into the beginning.

The modern brownshirts are getting more aggressive.

They are also getting disturbingly bigoted.

We need to remember fascists have never come to power as a popular majority and we need to lose the it can't happen here attitude.

Alan West for President anybody?

The more I hear from him the more I like.

From the Yardarm.

Proof again that there is no social contract with evil.

We need to try every pirate we can capture on the deck of the ship captures them, hang them, and bury their bodies at sea.

That is the only thing that has worked in the past and I fail to see any more "humane" way that wouldn't lead to further suffering of the innocent. This very issue was the first real defense policy challenge of our country, and we did the correct thing rather than the expedient one.

If the American flag no longer screams not worth the world of hurt, then every American had better keep their powder dry and their eyes open.

Are you ready to hear?

One of my favorite photographers blogs a truth that many people aren't ready to hear.

There is "No such thing as a social contract with evil."

The wold would be well served by applying on to both the macro and micro scale.

Bigotry is stupid.

I have a rather radical theory about bigotry(one that will probably have to be refined for years). To put into one sentence.

Bigotry doesn't work.

In the long term and macro scale any unfounded bigotry or discrimination will disadvantage those who practice it. Sure in the short run you can oppress the hell out of people and do all kinds of things to put them at a disadvantage. However you deprive yourself of what they can do in your society, eventually someone less prejudiced than you will give them a chance(in or out of your society) and you are at a disadvantage. An extreme example would be all the expatriate German Jewish scientists working against and not for Germany in WW2.

There is a thornier part of this theory, unfounded prejudice hurts a society, however statistically correct prejudice doesn't. If because of culture some group either in majority or substantial minority is actually representative of the prejudice then the society's market is only reflecting truth(an uncomfortable one) rather than bigotry. An example of this would be cultures with a "if God wills it" rather than a "God helps those who help themselves" work ethic.

The insidious thing is modern philosophy discourages self critical analysis especially on the part of groups perceived to be victims of a prejudice.

Modern science has mostly moved beyond coming up with biological excuses for prejudice, however the fields of Anthropology, Sociology, and Philosophy have decided to rush their own finding to declare that all cultures are equally valid and therefore no culture is advantageous to people who follow it.

This disservices all cultures, because without an objective analysis we will not know what parts of each others heritage should be added to our own or which parts of our own are hurting us. In the long run this very bigotry against bigotry will be disadvantageous and someone will have the courage to seize the advantage by looking upon the world as it is.

"Assualt on Unions"

No Mr President an assault on unions will be what happens when any of the SEIU purple people beaters try to silence me and mine.

I want our government's policy to change in an elected constitutional way, but I will not give up my right to self defense as defined by the law.

To those who want a violent overthrow of the United States in order to institute a Marxist utopia, might I point out who the law abiding firearms competent tend to be in this country. You should thank the god you don't believe in that we obey the law and that law exists. If you push things to TEOWAWKI(the end of the world as we know it) some of us will have beans, bullets, and bandaids, while you will have your Marxist books and an Iphone that doesn't work anymore. If you don't like the US Constitution as it stands today, just wait and see the one we write after going through a distopian hell of your making.

Food for thought or are you thought for food?

Enslaving Our Children

Not to start this blog on an overly religious note but this , just reminded me of a proverbs verse.

"The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender. "  Proverbs 22:7

So I put it to you dear reader, how is a free nation of free men to actually be free, when the politicians that we freely elect have enslaved us and our children(born and yet to be) with more debt than we could pay back if we all did nothing but that for a year?

We need to get serious about real liberty, because at the moment we don't have it. We owe it to our children free them from this burden, and we do NOT owe it to ourselves to have an easy time of things with entitlements from the government.

Just to be clear this includes Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and any other thing any person living has ever voted for or failed to persuade others to vote against. If you think this a harsh line to take I put it to you that either your children are the most important thing to you or they aren't. What they need isn't "education" as the government would see it, it isn't false economic security(social or otherwise), they need liberty to make their own way in the world without a millstone of our debt around their necks. Government debt currently is the ONLY sin of the father passed down the generations.

It's time to remove those who would seal our children's birthright from  Ithaca, hopefully we can do it peaceably......

"I am Born."

Call me Odysseus.

And be warned these will not be the last literary references or paraphrases so either fire up the old brain, put Wikipedia up in another tab, or leave now.

I intend for this blog to cover geopolitics, economics, 2nd Amendment issues, and anything else that strikes me.

Fasten your seat-belts, because "I aim to misbehave."
