Projected Tyranny.

As usual Sarah Hoyt sums up common feelings better than I can:

PARTLY BECAUSE YOU SPENT EIGHT YEARS KICKING SAND IN OUR FACES, THAT’S WHY: Why we won’t “help” you? We won’t help you because of Obamacare passed on a procedural trick; we won’t help because of Fast and Furious; we won’t help you because of Benghazi; we won’t help you because of the IRS harassing conservatives; we won’t help you because of Hillary’s unsecured server; we won’t help you because of a gazillion (give or take) executive orders; we won’t help you because of your side’s blatant dislike of anyone who loves America.
But most of all we won’t help you because the great enterprise you wish us to help you with is making idiots of yourselves by shrieking at the top of your lungs at things Trump is doing which you admired when Obama did them; or shrieking at the top of your lungs because you didn’t get the candidate you wanted in; or shrieking at the top of your lungs because that great progressive future you were so sure was around the corner took an inexplicable detour.
In other words, what you want help with is beclowning yourselves. And we think you’re doing a fine job of it all on your own. Besides, we need both hands for this big a popcorn bowl.

Left of center types are trying to make the "We all live in the same burning house." argument after eight years of slinging gasoline and throwing lit matches, and after eight years of calling anyone with a fire extinguisher an arsonist. Now because we don't want to throw more gasoline on to "fight fire with fire." we don't care about the house. At this point many are focusing on getting our loved ones and keepsakes out you'all can have fun arguing with the GOP statists as to whither Diesel or Kerosene is the proper solution to your problem. I'll come help when I'm not called an arsonist for suggesting water.

Staying Classy

Typically retired Presidents wait for more than a year before they comment on current events in order to not undercut their successor.

Obama made it about a week longer than I'd expected.

At this point Obama and the rest of the democrat freakout machine need to start registering in-kind contributions to the Trump 2020 campaign.

Inauguration Thoughts

Again I hope that all my worries are grossly unfounded and I'm going to wait for some actual law, regulations, and real actions to judge.
I said through the Obama years, "You never give any power to Obama that you wouldn't give to Nehemiah Scutter." I somehow doubt that Trump fans are going to heed this warning any more than Obama fans but, "You never give any power to Trump that you wouldn't give to Nehemiah Scutter."
Now is not the time to go back to sleep or throw your moral compass in the garbage.

Hillary might have been the greater evil, that doesn't mean we shouldn't be-darned-ware of the hopefully lesser one. I would argue the best case scenario is that we now have a very recent convert to traditional principals( remember in 2010 he rated Obama a B+), one who's base instincts are still that of a New York crony.
