I have a pre '64 870 wingmaster that looks exactly like that. It has a funny little four pointed star stamped on the stock. I carry a 1911 or a colt SAA .45LC instead of the Glock.---Ray
My 870 is my bedroom gun. I keep the .45's because of long familiarity. I have carried ether the SAA or 1911 for so much of my life that I can strip ether by feel alone. I did finally drink the kool aid this year and buy a 9mm S&W shield 2.0 (with the safety) It is a stunningly good 9mm for something as small as it is.--Ray
The 9mm Shield with a safety is my normal carry, partly because it conceals well. Partially because it is one of a few pistols that I'm consistently accurate on the first magazine of any range trip. I have other guns that I'm fine with after I get my eye in, but it seems for a carry gun being good with the first magazine might be important. ;)

DeleteYes that's why I bought the 2.0. It was the best CC gun in its class. Now if I could just find a shoulder rig for it.---Ray
DeleteMine goes well in IWB but we all need to do what works best for us. I will say that there are days I'm quite tempted by the 45 version though.
